The following information has been extracted from the Active learning Queensland kindergarten learning guideline document.

There are four key focus areas of Active learning when implemented into Kindergarten classrooms

2.    Shows increasing confidence and involvement in learning
3.    Engages in ways to be imaginative and creative
4.    Explores tools, technologies and information and communication technologies (ICT’s)

The significant learning of these focus areas of Active Learning:

Building positive dispositions and approaches towards learning –
-       Enthusiasm for learning and curiosity
-       Problem solving and investigating
-       Applying and reflecting on learning

Shows increasing confidence and involvement in learning –
-       Confidence, interest and involvement in earning
-       Making choices and organising resources for learning
-       Ways to contribute to learning conversations

Engages in ways to be imaginative and creative –
-       A sense of wonder imagination and creativity
-       Ways to creatively represent ideas, feelings and experiences

Explores tools, technologies and information and communication technologies (ICT’s) -
